Hello There

We thought it might a good time to let you know a bit more about us and Marketing Lab. Could we still get away with saying Happy New Year? We’ll let you be the judge of that.  A recent Facebook Live interview we did meant we talked quite a bit about the story behind how Marketing Lab came to be and we thought it might be nice to share it with you all.  As it plays such an important role in how we work and how the business continues to evolve.

We’re based in Cranleigh in the Surrey Hills, and started the business over 4 and half years ago.  We met when our eldest children started school, and what started out as discussions about how we best use our skills following redundancy, this very quickly became excited discussions about the sort of business we wanted to create.  Armed with a 5-year business plan and a lot of (probably naive) enthusiasm we founded Marketing Lab.

The business has grown significantly since then and is now based in a lovely office in the centre of the village.  Pictures of our view and location play quite a big part of what we share on our social media accounts on Instagram especially. We currently work with clients across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and Hampshire, in a range of sectors – both B2B and B2C.

We also have the pleasure of working with some other amazing businesses who we collaborate with in order to bring specialist skills to the projects we deliver.

During the time we have been running the business we have continued our professional development including Social Media Marketing training with the brilliant Digital Mums. We also attend networking events that allow us to learn more about our industry, current trends and developments as well as running a business. We’re passionate about learning and development.

We are lucky that even though we spend virtually every day in each others company we remain close friends! And our families are an integral part of the business, providing support in so many ways. From helping us redecorate our office space to boosting our confidence on the days when we’ve needed it!

When we’re not working our marketing magic, we can be found spending time out and about enjoying the beautiful part of the world we live in, reading good books (we’re both members of the same book club), just occasionally drinking good wine, and running around making sure our children have a vastly better social life than we do.
